About BCB

Blog City Blog is a mostly personal look at the things that are happening in Blog City, which is a state of mind, as much as a geographic location, although, for tax and other purposes, BCB is located in Jersey City, NJ, USA.

We are a local blog, in the contemporary sense of the word local, which is to say global.  (That sounded pretentious, didn’t it?) But it’s true. In this new era of the Obamanation, we think it’s cool to think of ourselves as world citizens again.  The local blog is just a modern-day pamphlet and the editor of a local blog is just a modern-day e-pampleteer. There are tens of millions of blogs on line today. It’s a global blog city and we aspire to be the official blog of that blog city, a Blog City Blog, if you will. (Please repeat Blog City Blog aloud three times.)

Our editorial focus is, as they say, evolving. We’ll report and comment on news, politics, the arts (especially music, especially, but not limited to, jazz), culture, business,  and more, hopefully showing how it all affects Blog City. Of course, without your input, this is all an exercise in auto-agitation, so please post comments and suggest ideas, ask questions and make other suggestions. We read this stuff.
